I graduated from Duke University magna cum laude in 1999, with a major in English and a minor in political science.  That same year, I attended the renowned Radcliffe Publishing course (now at Columbia University) and then started my publishing career at the venerable New York literary agency Russell & Volkening.  After a few years in magazine publishing, I went to work for Regal Literary (now Regal Hoffmann) in New York, and in 2006 I set up Regal’s London office, agenting both children’s and adult fiction and non-fiction titles. 

 

In 2014 I joined Curtis Brown as a children’s agent, building a list of authors that included Isla Fisher, Emily Barr, Aidan Chambers and Babette Cole. I later became an author myself with the publication of the Crabtree School series (www.CrabtreeSchool.com) and I now dedicate my time to writing, visiting schools and leading creative writing workshops, in addition to freelance editing and ghosting. 

 

I live in Buckinghamshire (Roald Dahl country!) with my family and am happy to provide both remote and face-to-face feedback.
